Adding Details
One new technology that has changed the way parents and their college-age students keep in touch is the Internet. First, email is a quicker and easier way to share information than writing a letter. With an email, I can talk to my mom about my day, what is going on in my life, and anything else that is on my mind. The responses are quick, and the letters are more personal than an instant message to one another. Emails are more convenient than writing a letter because almost every student is on his or her computer for the majority of the day. Second, parents can chat with their children through instant messaging programs. A commonly used instant messenger is called MSN. Almost every college student that I know of has MSN.Finally, parents can monitor what is happening in their children’s lives by visiting online sites like MySpace, FaceBook, and Blogger. With using a site such as blogger, a parent can go on to the page and see a journal of their child. Most bloggers are easy to use, and all the parent has to do is go on to the site, and it is an easy way for a parent to catch up on what their child does on a daily basis.

College
Before college, my relationship with my mom was a bit stronger. Once college started, my dad and I have grown a little closer, being that he now knows that I am responsible on my own. I would have to say that the reason the relationship between my mom and me grew farther apart would be because of lack of communication. College has taken up a lot of my time, so I do not always remember to call my mom every night. Back in high school, I would see my mom everyday, and we would always eat dinner together, and we would talk about my day. Since school takes away the opportunity to eat dinner with her, she is not as in touch with me as she would like to be. My dad is a little better with technology than my mom, so it is easier to keep in touch with him than it is for my mom.
When my parents were in school, I think that they were going through the same thing. Back then, the technology was not as good, so therefore; it was probably a bit more difficult to keep in touch. Both of my parents were also farther traveling distance away from their parents that I am to them. So, if they wanted to see their parents, it took more effort to get to them. My mom only had her mother for her in college, so she kept in touch with her more than my dad did with his mom.

How to make your home safe
If you want to have a safe home, there are a few things you need to do. First, make sure all the doors leading outside have locks on them. Once the doors have a secure lock, then you need to make sure that all the windows have locks on them also. There should be atleast two locks on the windows, that way no one can open them from the outside. After the doors and windows have locks on them, you have a safe home.

Hurricane Marco
On November, 1996, my family and I were on a cruise ship touring the Virgin Islands and we had an encounter with a hurricane. In the morning, the sky became cloudy, and the weather became cold. I was only about seven years old, but I knew that something was wrong. We were on the coast, and the weather was supposed to be nice, and the sun should be shining. The captain of the ship told everyone that they needed to stay on board, and that the ship would not be stopping at Turtle Island. I was devastated. Out of the whole trip, that was spot that I was looking forward to the most. The weather became horrific, and the waves in the ocean became huge. No one on the ship knew what was going on, and everyone became frightened. The captain then told everyone to go to there rooms, and not to come out until further notified by crew members. Once the weather toned down, we were able to make a stop in Puerto Rico, and we called my dad. He sounded thrilled to talk to us, and then he told us that we were on the edge of Hurricane Marco. After all, my mom heard that, we then realized why everything happened on the ship that happened.

The Power to be Invisible for 24 hours
If I had the power to become invisible, I would do many things. First, I would go where my friends where at, and listen to the things that are said when I am not around. It would be interesting to hear what they would have to say about me. Next, I would listen in to my parents conversation about me when I am not around. After that, I would go into my work, and see what my bosses do when there are no employees around. Finally, I would follow the guy that I like around to see what he is really up to. With the power to become invisible, I would only use it to see what people say about me.

What would happen if everyone wore the same clothes?
If everyone wore the same clothes, the world would be a better place. If people all wore the same thing, there would be less reasons for a person to be judged on based on their first looks. Many problems with teenagers now days is that they judge a person too quickly. One of the things they judge people on is looks. If we all wore the same clothes, you could not judge a person based on appearance, and you would actually have to get to know them for what they really are. All of the stereotypes of people who wear baggy, Gothic, preppy, and the list can go on would be eliminated.
What is something you dislike about yourself?
One thing that I dislike about myself is that I give into people too easily. I tell myself that I will not let people do certian things, and I end up allowing them to. My weakness is being way too nice to people. A big problem that I have is saying no. I end up feeling guilty if someone asks me to do something for them, and then I say no.

If I Had a Million...
I wish I had a million dollars, then I would buy anything that I have ever wanted. One of the first things that I would buy is a house for my parents. I would buy them a house for everything that they have ever done for me. Another thing that I would buy is a car for myself. The vehicle that I would buy would be a black Chevy Avalanche. With the left over money, I would then buy a house for myself and a house for each of my sisters. My house would be in Puerto Rico, on a beach. After all of these purchases, I would then save the rest of the money that is left over.
